New Infos For New Stone Sour Album

Bands Bassist Share Some Infos

I have written a couple of times about the new Stone Sour album that will be released in June via Roadrunner Records . Bands bassist JOHNY CHOW
Speaking to Meltdown of the WRIF radio station in Detroit, Michigan, Chow stated about the "Hydrograd" songwriting process (hear audio below):

"[STONE SOUR singer] Corey's [Taylor] been out doing SLIPKNOT, so the whole time while he was out doing that, we'd all get together every six months or so and record about six songs over at Roy's [Mayorga, drums] studio, and came up with eighteen songs, and we recorded all of 'em."

He continued: "Everybody in the band wrote on this album. People would have their song ideas kind of in demo form, and we'd all exchange them, learn them, and then when we would meet up at Roy's, we would work 'em out and lay 'em down. Then Corey would come in and lay down his vocals. There was a couple of songs on there that were just acoustic guitar and him singing that turned into full-band songs."
When time came to lay down the songs in the studio, "We recorded the whole album live," Chow explained. "We didn't do it piece by piece in Pro Tools and chop it up. We wanted to not have a sterile feeling; we wanted the energy to translate from our demos onto this album, and we really were able to capture that raw, aggressive feel and tone. Roy would get a click, and then the click would be pulled out after we started, and that way, it gives it a little bit of room to breathe and adds some life to it. We had three days in rehearsal, and went right in there, and, man, we were doing about a song every day, day and a half for a little bit. We really had a great momentum going there, and it was a great experience doing it that way, man. In the years that passed, everything's just cookie cutter, chopped up, put to the grid, perfectly played, and you go over and punch in a million times over, where most of the drums and the bass were recorded live and the guitars, obviously — solos and stuff — would have to be overdubbed."
According to Chow, "Hydrograd" will contain "about fourteen songs, fifteen tracks, being that we wrote an intro as well. But that's kind of up to the record label. But we're hoping for fourteen songs. We don't wanna go less, just because we don't wanna shortchange our fans on waiting for as long as they have and just throw 'em ten songs. We don't think that'd be fair."
Regarding the musical direction of "Hydrograd", Chow said that "this album is just a straight rock and roll album. There's some kind of FOO FIGHTERS-meets-CHEAP TRICK, but there's also groove-heavy stuff. It's not heavy in the way of SLAYER; it's more heavy in the way of [BLACK] SABBATH — not sounding like SABBATH, but not that super-heavy, super metally. It's just very groove-oriented, very melodic [with] big choruses. We've got some mellower songs on there too, which are equally just as amazing and have a lot of groove to them."

He added: "This album is a little bit of a departure from previous STONE SOUR albums. We think it's the best one yet."
Chow was a bit less clear about the origin of the "Hydrograd" album title, explaining that "that's more of a Corey question. It was his idea to name it 'Hydrograd'." But, he added, "it has to do something with him being in an airport, going to the wrong gate, but the gate he thought he saw said 'Hydrograd,' and it just always stuck with him for some reason — that word 'hydrograd.' So I don't know if it's an actual true word or not."
The bassist also confirmed that "Hydrograd" will once again feature special packaging, although details have not yet been finalized. "Corey's got this [artist] that we work with that drew up a few different ideas for us, and there's one that's sticking right now, and I really can't say much about it, but it's pretty cool, man, it's pretty cool," Chow said. "It'll be different.

Korn Stated They Are Not A Metal Band

Interesting...

Its really interesting that a lot of conversation are about metal music gernes . Is it ok to say that everything is metal ? Is it ok to say that there have to be metal gernes just to describe a band?
We all have our opinion about this subject but we all disagree too ! Is this band metalcore or numetal or something else . Here is where Korn frontman comes to sovle this problem and tell us what he believes .
Jonathan Davis says Full Metal Jackie: “

"I’ve always had a problem with the term ‘metal.’ We never were that. Just go back to the beginning when Korn started out. We came out of Huntington Beach, California, and they didn’t know what to do with us.

“The first tour we went out on was with Biohazard and House Of Pain. Second one was Sick Of It All, Orange 9mm and us. We played shows with No Doubt, Cadillac Tramps and Pennywise.
“I think that we went out and did all that stuff, and it seems like the metal community took us in. We were like the black sheep – we had no place to really go – and I really appreciate and I love the metal community.

“But as far as us being a metal band, a metal band, to me, is Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. I don’t think Korn does that. I know it’s something we do that’s different. But I love the scene and there’s some passionate people in it. They don’t care. If they don’t like what you’re doing, they’ll let you know it, and I respect that about them and that scene.”
Asked what he would describe Korn as, Davis adds: “I think we’re just heavy rock. I don’t like categories but we’re more of a heavy rock band than just straight metal. But when it comes all down to it, it’s music, and who cares what the hell it is?
“If you like it, you like it – if you don’t, you don’t. At the end of the day, that’s all that matters.”

I totally agree with him . Its never really matter if the music that I hear is metal or metacore or anything similar a long as it has really nice music !!!

Another New Linkin Park Song Is Here

Another One

It is now obvious that Linkin Park are heading into a more pop direction ! They make it official by posting another streamable song in youtube this time with the name of "Battle Of Symphony "(Video Down Below) I know many people judge them for changing their direction but in my opinion they produce beautiful music and that's what really matters !Singer Mike Shinoda previously said about the record's debut single:
"One of the reasons why we chose 'Heavy' as the first single is because it is really the core sound of the album.
"This wasn't a scenario where the whole album sounds one way and the single sounds different. This is how the album sounds. So we wanted to go out with a song like that, where everybody can get a sense of the direction of this body of work."

Mastodon New Music Video For Show Yourself

These Guys Are On Fire

I know I post a lot of Mastodon news lately but first the band is on fire and second 15 days left till they release a new album! Now the band releases a new music video for their new song "Show Yourself " . As for the video?? Hahaha. The story goes like this ! There is this company of reapers and their manager demands them to kill a rock band because rock is dead . The one who would kill them gets the prise of getting the key to heaven ....But you might not want to be sploiled so I stop here . (Full Video Down Below) .  Its hilarious and weird and every music video of rock bands should be like this. It brings in my mind 90s like music videos.
Speaking about album sessins, Hinds said:

“Mastodon is our way of going on. Mastodon is our therapy. The band was getting so deep that I could barely play a song without crying a lot of times.
“The new album is really emotional, and when you listen to it as a co-creator, as I am with my fellows, and they have had these horrible incidents happening in their lives with cancer affecting their loved ones, I absorb their hurt. It’s really sad.”

This part was taken of the Metal Hammer magazine interview of the band ! You can find it anywhere ! Its just 2 weeks we can bear it I think .

Body Count New Song Is Here

We Will Have The Album In A Few Days...Maybe

As the days go by the time that new album released is getting closer . So does the time for the new Body Count album Read More Here ! The new song name is the "The Ski Mask Way "(Video Down Below) and it refairs to people you cant afford their living and the have to steal . My personaly opinion on new Body Count songs is that they are f*cking awesome .The most important is that Body Count is one of the few bands that talks about problems in our world like racism . That probems really need to be solve!

Body Count Bloodlust

Ice-T said: "I was noticing people on the streets showing off their expensive jewelry and money on social media. They are just making themselves a target for the robbers out there just watching their Instagram to see what they are flaunting. In L.A., they call Instagram 'Jacker’s Uber,' seeing what clubs people are at and livestream the robbers to their front door."

New album will be released March 31 with the new Mastodon album but Ice T suggested a March 17 release. Also he said :  “With our last album Manslaughter, we tested the waters and got a great response from the fans and critics. Now it’s time to go kill it and make a more aggressive album and keep the Body Count style intact.

"Will Putney is like a member of the band and has an excellent ear. He’s a great producer because he captures the true essence of our band’s sound. Once we are done writing the song it’s his job to step in and make it sound better. He helps move the record in the right direction."

Black Sabbath The End

The Band That Started It All Has Come To An End

What can I say for the fathers of rock . What can I say about the band that started it all . The band that was one of the first of its kind and one of the best to its kind . I feel bad for not be able to watch them live .  But who knows a lot of band do play for the last time yet they don't keep their promise and play again next year . This time Sabbath posted a photo ,after The End tour, in their facebook page in which has and band logo and 1968 - 2017" written under it .As widely reported, Black Sabbath played the last show of their final tour on February 4 in their hometown of Birmingham. You can watch the footage here.

Tony Iommi did point out that the end only refers to large-scale touring, telling Planet Rock:

"No, I don't think we've ruled anything out apart from me not wanting to tour any more on that scale, but who knows, we may do something. We haven't spoken about it. That's another thing - we haven't talked about anything, really, that's to do with what's going to happen afterwards. But I'm sure something can happen somewhere."

Nobody wanted them to end but I think its time for the band to retire once and for all !
Its over guys ! Thanks Sabbath for everything you did for the music!

The is really heavy and as Bill Kelliher bands guitarist says is one of the heaviest song he ever wrote . The truth is I didn't like it so much but the decision is yours ! With every song the band released videos "Making the Emperor Of The Sand" . They have released 4 parts so far . (Video Down Below) .

Also the band will be cover and have gave Metal Hammer an interview we are going to see in the next issue of the magazine . So you should definitely buy this issue !

Stone Sour Completes New Album 'Hydrograd'

Lets See What They Did There

As we learn the new Stone Sour album that I post a several times 'Hydrograd' about will be released in June via Roadrunner Records . The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.
Corey Himself stated that the work for the new album was ended so now they album is coming to a mixing stage  He told the BBC Rock Show with Daniel P Carter: “We’re almost done with the album.

"We hit the ground, basically finishing a song a day. We started in the studio on January 7 and we have 16 songs done – we only have three left. It’s unbelievable. We’ve only really taken time off because we needed to.

“We just destroyed it and it sounds incredible. Everyone is saying the same thing – not only are the songs good, but the energy is incredible because it has that live vibe. This is not beat-detected, auto-tuned or pitch-corrected. It’s so bad ass it’s not even funny."

He added: “We have six singles on this album. I’m really excited – this album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the 80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments – all the great amalgam of music.

“There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments, it’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first Slipknot album. I feel very confident making that statement because it’s so good.”

Also the drummer of the band Roy Mayorga posted a picture(Picture Down Below) in his personal Instagram account will all Stone Sour Members and the studio members and says that :
"Well that's a wrap! What an amazing 2months at @sphere_studios with these awesome people. Much love to you all."
🤘🏻
Η δημοσίευση κοινοποιήθηκε από το χρήστη Roy Mayorga (@roymayorgaofficial) στις

In other news, one fan who works at Porto's Bakery in Burbank, California got to hear some of the album! Granted, Stone Sour came to his work and pretty much kidnapped the dude to listen, so it's not like he had much of a choice, but it seems like an overall awesome experience that didn't quite end as violently as a real kidnapped… we hope.(Video Down Below) The only thing is that we have to wait until June in order to see what they made! I am really curious to listen to this new album!

The End For HIM

Another Great Band Comes To An End

Its the end of an era for HIM as the band officially announced that they are quiting . The band will make a farewell last tour and then they will quit! Tour dates so far down below!

Following a long radio silence, Finnish rock giants HIM have announced a farewell tour, closing the final chapter on their 26 year career.
“After quarter of a century of Love and Metal intertwined we sincerely feel HIM has run its unnatural course and adieus must be said in order to make way for sights, scents and sounds yet unexplored. We completed the pattern, solved the puzzle and turned the key. Thank you.” Says frontman Ville Valo
Formed in 1991 by vocalist Ville Valo, guitarist Mikko “Linde” Lindström and bassist Mikko “Migé” Paananen, HIM truly stand out as one of the rock world’s most unique acts. Beautifully blending metal, goth and hard rock with deep, thoughtful and moving lyrics, HIM offered the world a new take on the metal genre, which became known as Love Metal (also the title of their fourth album).
Over the course of eight studio albums, HIM captured the hearts and minds of fans across the globe, drawn by their irresistible and inimitable style. Under the banner of their Heartagram logo – a potent symbol encapsulating the juxtaposition of the light and dark, the fierce and forlorn, and the evil and love found in their music – HIM filled venues and crashed charts the world over, collecting numerous awards, gracing countless magazine covers and becoming the first Finnish act to achieve Gold status in the USA.
Now, four years after the release of their last studio album ‘Tears On Tape’, HIM are saying farewell, taking in 14 countries across 35 shows for their final goodbye.
“At the end of 2017 we will be released into the wild.” Says bassist Mige. “Before this event of great transformation we would love to offer you one last chance to experience our live performances in His Majesty’s service. It shall not be a weepfest but a celebration of love metal in all its lovecraftian glory! See you there!”
Ville Valo (voc)
Mige (bass)
Linde (gtr)
Burton (kb)
Kosmo (dr)
