Stone Sour In Steel Panther Strip Club . WTF?

Last week, sleaze hounds Steel Panther issued a music video for “Wasted Too Much Time,” which featured a guest appearance from Stone Sour. Now, the Panther boys have returned the favor as staffers of a strip club in Stone Sour’s music video for “Rose Red Violent Blue (This Song Is Dumb and So Am I).”

The track is culled from Stone Sour’s latest record, Hydrograd, and is an energetic rocker that sways from a light, moody opening to a hook-laden rager. The video opens up with the band’s members riding mopeds to Cheetahs, which promises live entertainment with a full bar and lap dances. Once they make their way inside, we see members of Steel Panther as DJs and waiters, serving drinks to paying customers. And we soon see that the strippers are played by the Stone Sour members themselves. Enjoy !!

Corey Taylor About New Sliknot Album

Something Violent...

As the time goes by for Corey Taylor and the bands he is into Slipknot and Stone Sour . As the new Stone Sour Album will be released in a few days he's got nothing to worry about . Now his thoughts about a new Slipknot album are getting bigger . So he recently interviewed by Metal Wani and he said :

“I know I want to write something violent, to be honest. I want to do something that feels uncomfortable. I want to go somewhere where we haven't been in a long, long time.“I don't know what that means, but I think when I hear it, I'll know what it is.”

Asked if he thought both Slipknot and Stone Sour had yet to create their best albums, Taylor went on to say: 

“I think if you consider the best of your past to be the best, then you're just constantly chasing it."So, for me, it's not necessarily about what's best, it's about what's next. I think when you look at it that way, you're constantly challenging yourself.“You're not trying to top yourself, you're just trying to find that open ground that you haven't stepped before That's what it comes down to. I think maybe that's the secret – that you can't look at things as trying to top your best because who knows when your best is going to come out.”

Stone Sour Strike With New Music Video

And They Nailed It

I mentioned hundrets of times abou the new Stone Sour album Hydrograd . Some may say that i spammed it . You might be right . So now the band after sharing the song Song #3 audio have made a really nice music video for us to watch . (Video Down Below) The song is a classic Stone Sour song and a lovely one. I really liked it . The new album Hydrograd will be available 30 June on Roadrunner Records  and it is already available for preordering.

STONE SOUR's COREY TAYLOR : What Does Hydrograd Means

Not So Impressive Though 

I wrote severall times about the new album that Stone Sour will release on June 30 via Roadrunner.In an interview bands frontman explained why he named the album hydrograd and what does it means in an interview in , Michigan radio station WRIF. (You can hear the whole interview down below) 

He said : "I'm running through this airport in Eastern Europe. This was only a few years ago. No offense to the airport — it was kind of antiquated; they hadn't really upgraded anything. So the gate info was all on those old-school '80s block-letter, number, digital horrible Timex watch kind of readers. This would have been top of the line in Times Square in, like, 1968, let's put it that way. So not only is it impossible to read, it's also scrolling back and forth between Cyrillic and regular English letters. It's also scrolling back and forth between different languages. So my brain is trying to do geometry while also at a sprint, 'cause I don't wanna miss my plane. I pass one, and I look up and I could have swore it said 'Hydrograd.' And I kept running for a second, and I was, like, 'Hydrograd? Where the hell is Hydrograd? What?' So I stopped and I turned around and I went back to the gate, and I'm standing there and I'm watching it cycle through and cycle through and cycle through… Nothing. It didn't say 'Hydrograd.' It didn't even start with an 'H.' It wasn't even close. And I'm just sitting there wondering when my sanity split on me, trying to figure it out. And I walked away and I was just, like, 'Well, it's a cool name.' And I just kind of stuck it in my pocket. And then years later we were doing demos for [the new STONE SOUR album], and I actually named one of the songs I wrote 'Hydrograd'. And I was, like, 'You know what? That would be a good name for the album overall and just kind of run with it.' So that's it, really — it was what I saw but didn't really see."

New Infos For New Stone Sour Album

Bands Bassist Share Some Infos

I have written a couple of times about the new Stone Sour album that will be released in June via Roadrunner Records . Bands bassist JOHNY CHOW

Speaking to Meltdown of the WRIF radio station in Detroit, Michigan, Chow stated about the "Hydrograd" songwriting process (hear audio below):

"[STONE SOUR singer] Corey's [Taylor] been out doing SLIPKNOT, so the whole time while he was out doing that, we'd all get together every six months or so and record about six songs over at Roy's [Mayorga, drums] studio, and came up with eighteen songs, and we recorded all of 'em."

He continued: "Everybody in the band wrote on this album. People would have their song ideas kind of in demo form, and we'd all exchange them, learn them, and then when we would meet up at Roy's, we would work 'em out and lay 'em down. Then Corey would come in and lay down his vocals. There was a couple of songs on there that were just acoustic guitar and him singing that turned into full-band songs."

When time came to lay down the songs in the studio, "We recorded the whole album live," Chow explained. "We didn't do it piece by piece in Pro Tools and chop it up. We wanted to not have a sterile feeling; we wanted the energy to translate from our demos onto this album, and we really were able to capture that raw, aggressive feel and tone. Roy would get a click, and then the click would be pulled out after we started, and that way, it gives it a little bit of room to breathe and adds some life to it. We had three days in rehearsal, and went right in there, and, man, we were doing about a song every day, day and a half for a little bit. We really had a great momentum going there, and it was a great experience doing it that way, man. In the years that passed, everything's just cookie cutter, chopped up, put to the grid, perfectly played, and you go over and punch in a million times over, where most of the drums and the bass were recorded live and the guitars, obviously — solos and stuff — would have to be overdubbed."
According to Chow, "Hydrograd" will contain "about fourteen songs, fifteen tracks, being that we wrote an intro as well. But that's kind of up to the record label. But we're hoping for fourteen songs. We don't wanna go less, just because we don't wanna shortchange our fans on waiting for as long as they have and just throw 'em ten songs. We don't think that'd be fair."
Regarding the musical direction of "Hydrograd", Chow said that "this album is just a straight rock and roll album. There's some kind of FOO FIGHTERS-meets-CHEAP TRICK, but there's also groove-heavy stuff. It's not heavy in the way of SLAYER; it's more heavy in the way of [BLACK] SABBATH — not sounding like SABBATH, but not that super-heavy, super metally. It's just very groove-oriented, very melodic [with] big choruses. We've got some mellower songs on there too, which are equally just as amazing and have a lot of groove to them."

He added: "This album is a little bit of a departure from previous STONE SOUR albums. We think it's the best one yet."
Chow was a bit less clear about the origin of the "Hydrograd" album title, explaining that "that's more of a Corey question. It was his idea to name it 'Hydrograd'." But, he added, "it has to do something with him being in an airport, going to the wrong gate, but the gate he thought he saw said 'Hydrograd,' and it just always stuck with him for some reason — that word 'hydrograd.' So I don't know if it's an actual true word or not."
The bassist also confirmed that "Hydrograd" will once again feature special packaging, although details have not yet been finalized. "Corey's got this [artist] that we work with that drew up a few different ideas for us, and there's one that's sticking right now, and I really can't say much about it, but it's pretty cool, man, it's pretty cool," Chow said. "It'll be different.

Stone Sour Completes New Album 'Hydrograd'

As we learn the new Stone Sour album that I post a several times 'Hydrograd' about will be released in June via Roadrunner Records . The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.
Corey Himself stated that the work for the new album was ended so now they album is coming to a mixing stage  He told the BBC Rock Show with Daniel P Carter: “We’re almost done with the album.

"We hit the ground, basically finishing a song a day. We started in the studio on January 7 and we have 16 songs done – we only have three left. It’s unbelievable. We’ve only really taken time off because we needed to.

“We just destroyed it and it sounds incredible. Everyone is saying the same thing – not only are the songs good, but the energy is incredible because it has that live vibe. This is not beat-detected, auto-tuned or pitch-corrected. It’s so bad ass it’s not even funny."

He added: “We have six singles on this album. I’m really excited – this album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the 80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments – all the great amalgam of music.

“There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments, it’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first Slipknot album. I feel very confident making that statement because it’s so good.”

Also the drummer of the band Roy Mayorga posted a picture(Picture Down Below) in his personal Instagram account will all Stone Sour Members and the studio members and says that :
"Well that's a wrap! What an amazing 2months at @sphere_studios with these awesome people. Much love to you all."

In other news, one fan who works at Porto's Bakery in Burbank, California got to hear some of the album! Granted, Stone Sour came to his work and pretty much kidnapped the dude to listen, so it's not like he had much of a choice, but it seems like an overall awesome experience that didn't quite end as violently as a real kidnapped… we hope.(Video Down Below) The only thing is that we have to wait until June in order to see what they made! I am really curious to listen to this new album!

Slipknots "Clown" Says About Slipknot New Album

SLIPKNOT Has Written 'Amazing' Songs For Next Album

Slipknot last album was ".5: The Gray Chapter". back in 2014 . Since then the band has tour through the world but they didn't create anything new! An interview that has taken place in Namm 2017 with protagonist Mick Thompson (Guitarist). In this interview Mick said that although Corey will start working on a new Stone Sour Album he will work on new Slipknot album too . Stone Sour officialy confirm new album with the name "Hydrograd"

 due to this summer . So know the bands clown aka Shawn "Clown" Crahan say in an interview to Meltdown of the WRIF radio station in Detroit, Michigan, Crahan stated :

"Well, we're writing as a band, and with Corey as well. Yes, we're off, and we're off for a while — for a long while. Okay, [it's] much needed. We'd been touring for three years. Corey's doing what he does, which is STONE SOUR, which is awesome. And he's living that life, which is awesome, 'cause he does really well and love it; it's his art. So he does that. And we're writing. We're beginning to write some music for SLIPKNOT for the new record. He's aware of it… So while we're writing, he's getting songs."

Crahan went on to say that SLIPKNOT fans shouldn't expect any new material for quite a while.
"But we're not just gonna sit around… some of us aren't just gonna sit around, because we've done that for twenty years, " he explained. "We just feel like writing. We've had so much fun writing 'The Gray Chapter', and people that started writing together during this album cycle never wrote together in fifteen years, so things are a little bit different and it's amazing and it's fun, and we have a good time."

So it seems like we have to have less that we expeting for a new Slipknot Album !

Corey Taylor’s new book ‘America 51’ will tackle everything from race relations to man buns.  America 51: A Probe into the Realities That Are Hiding Inside the Greatest Country in the World, is a a book that Stone Sour and Slipknot's Corey Tailor has write and it’s set to launch on August 15 via Da Capo Press.

Its title is a play on Area 51, the secret military base in Nevada and is said to continue "the moral outrage" which began in his last book, You're Making Me Hate You, with the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman discussing what he's learned about America's culture and its role in an "increasingly unstable" world from his experiences of touring.
Taylor said the book deals with "just how bat shit crazy my country is right now, in good ways and in bad ways” and added: "It's going to deal with everything from politics to social commentary. It's going to piss off a lot of people in my country, but everyone else will love it."

Publishers add: “Taylor examines the way America sees itself, specifically with regard to the propaganda surrounding America’s origins – like a heavy-metal Howard Zinn – while also celebrating the quirks and behaviour that make a true-blue American.

"Balancing humour, outrage, and disbelief, Taylor examines the rotting core of America, evaluating everything from politics and race relations to family and 'man buns' – skewering contemporary America in his own signature style."

In case you like this type of books I think its worth the waiting just to see the world though a great frontman eyes!

We shares a few times the news that after Slipknot new album its now Stone Sour time to have a new album . We also shared that Stone Sour officialy confirm new album with the name "Hydrograd" due to this summer . So now Corey comes to shares even more info about the new album . He says BBC Rock Show with Daniel P Carter:

“We’re almost done with the album. We hit the ground, basically finishing a song a day. We started in the studio on January 7 and we have 16 songs done – we only have three left. It’s unbelievable. We’ve only really taken time off because we needed to.

Slipknot Will Work On New Material The Same Time Corey Does Stone Sour

Corey Is The Center Of Attention

Being in two successful bands make you spilt in half beacuase you have double interviews double gigs and a lot of things double . So you understand how Corey Taylor feels when he has to do both Slipknot and Stone Sour stuff!Stone Sour officially confirm new album with the name "Hydrograd" due to this summer . So Slipknot things will be a little difficult to happen . Although Mick Thomson said in an interview with Backstage Axxess  it's only one man's opinion and general outlook on the future of the band . He said :

"We just finished… We spent a long time… well, a couple of years touring, but then there was a whole year before that of writing and recording and all that shit. So we have a little break right now. I think Corey's out doing his own stuff. Or if he isn't, he's about to be. So we're gonna work on writing some shit, and we'll be probably back out on the road after we do another record."

So its a long way till we see new Slipknot material anytime soon !
