Slipknot Drummer Is Keen To Start Recording The Next Slipknot Album

So Do We!

The new Stone Sour album is coming and that means that Corey will start working on a new Slipknot album . The band mates are "itching" for a new album and they want to create something beautiful !
Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg says :

“I think it'd be logical process to start the process like how we did three years ago.
“I’m not sure, but I'm itching to get back to that. And I think a bunch of guys are really motivated and inspired to keep the momentum that we built over the last couple of years.”
He continues: “As we've had a little mini studio on the road, we've kind of documented some song ideas, so there's already some things that are kind of brewing that are really interesting.
“I think we'll just see once we get into a room together and just start to throw stuff at the wall.”

We are also itching to see what the band will produce! I think their creativity will be a determining factor that is going to make their new album unique !!

Slipknots "Clown" Says About Slipknot New Album

SLIPKNOT Has Written 'Amazing' Songs For Next Album

Slipknot last album was ".5: The Gray Chapter". back in 2014 . Since then the band has tour through the world but they didn't create anything new! An interview that has taken place in Namm 2017 with protagonist Mick Thompson (Guitarist). In this interview Mick said that although Corey will start working on a new Stone Sour Album he will work on new Slipknot album too . Stone Sour officialy confirm new album with the name "Hydrograd"

 due to this summer . So know the bands clown aka Shawn "Clown" Crahan say in an interview to Meltdown of the WRIF radio station in Detroit, Michigan, Crahan stated :

"Well, we're writing as a band, and with Corey as well. Yes, we're off, and we're off for a while — for a long while. Okay, [it's] much needed. We'd been touring for three years. Corey's doing what he does, which is STONE SOUR, which is awesome. And he's living that life, which is awesome, 'cause he does really well and love it; it's his art. So he does that. And we're writing. We're beginning to write some music for SLIPKNOT for the new record. He's aware of it… So while we're writing, he's getting songs."

Crahan went on to say that SLIPKNOT fans shouldn't expect any new material for quite a while.
"But we're not just gonna sit around… some of us aren't just gonna sit around, because we've done that for twenty years, " he explained. "We just feel like writing. We've had so much fun writing 'The Gray Chapter', and people that started writing together during this album cycle never wrote together in fifteen years, so things are a little bit different and it's amazing and it's fun, and we have a good time."

So it seems like we have to have less that we expeting for a new Slipknot Album !

Corey Tailor About Metallica Grammys Apperance

Corey Hits Again

Corey says that Metallica was "disrespected" due to the mic failure! As you remember Metallica appearance at the Grammys featuring Lady Gaga had a terrible accident as a Grammys technician forgot to open James mic in order for the first verse of the song there was no sound!

Corey Said :
"I feel bad for METALLICA. Honestly, because at this point in their career they shouldn't have been disrespected like that. The fact that… They shut [Hetfield's microphone] off. METALLICA doesn't have control of that."

He continued: "The thing that people have to remember... I'm gonna give you a little background. All of METALLICA's people are not allowed to work on live performances on television. None of us are. They have a sound producer and a whole crew of people who work on those shows, and then your people work right behind them, all right? But you're not allowed to touch anything, which is horseshit, because stuff like this then happens. The fact that then they weren't introduced? It was just, 'Oh, here's Lady Gaga…' Oh, by the way, she's fucking with METALLICA, you dick."

Taylor added: "I have a lot of very strong opinions about the Grammys anyway, [but] that really cemented it for me. We don't need your respect. We don't need you to make us feel like we accomplished something, 'cause all you do is open our mouths and shit in it, and I'm tired of tastin' it. So, fuck you, dude. And by the way, I've won one, so it's not a big deal. They don't even really listen to this shit. They go, 'Oh, I recognize that name. There you go.'"

Corey Taylor’s new book ‘America 51’ will tackle everything from race relations to man buns.  America 51: A Probe into the Realities That Are Hiding Inside the Greatest Country in the World, is a a book that Stone Sour and Slipknot's Corey Tailor has write and it’s set to launch on August 15 via Da Capo Press.

Its title is a play on Area 51, the secret military base in Nevada and is said to continue "the moral outrage" which began in his last book, You're Making Me Hate You, with the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman discussing what he's learned about America's culture and its role in an "increasingly unstable" world from his experiences of touring.
Taylor said the book deals with "just how bat shit crazy my country is right now, in good ways and in bad ways” and added: "It's going to deal with everything from politics to social commentary. It's going to piss off a lot of people in my country, but everyone else will love it."

Publishers add: “Taylor examines the way America sees itself, specifically with regard to the propaganda surrounding America’s origins – like a heavy-metal Howard Zinn – while also celebrating the quirks and behaviour that make a true-blue American.

"Balancing humour, outrage, and disbelief, Taylor examines the rotting core of America, evaluating everything from politics and race relations to family and 'man buns' – skewering contemporary America in his own signature style."

In case you like this type of books I think its worth the waiting just to see the world though a great frontman eyes!

Corey Tailor: Stone Sour album is “coolest” since Slipknot’s debut

New Album Is Coming In Hot

We shares a few times the news that after Slipknot new album its now Stone Sour time to have a new album . We also shared that Stone Sour officialy confirm new album with the name "Hydrograd" due to this summer . So now Corey comes to shares even more info about the new album . He says BBC Rock Show with Daniel P Carter:

“We’re almost done with the album. We hit the ground, basically finishing a song a day. We started in the studio on January 7 and we have 16 songs done – we only have three left. It’s unbelievable. We’ve only really taken time off because we needed to.

“We just destroyed it and it sounds incredible. Everyone is saying the same thing – not only are the songs good, but the energy is incredible because it has that live vibe. This is not beat-detected, auto-tuned or pitch-corrected. It’s so bad ass it’s not even funny."

“We have six singles on this album. I’m really excited – this album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the 80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments – all the great amalgam of music.

“There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments, it’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first Slipknot album. I feel very confident making that statement because it’s so good.”

The album expecting to be released due to this summer but its not yet official so we just have to wait!
