Korn's Head About Drug Addiction

Don't Do Drugs Guys

Its 2017 and drugs still exist but not as much as they were back in the 90s . In 90s we lost a lot of rockstars from drugs overdose and most of the rockstars. Most of them have stopped and share their experience with so we don't do something like this so Korn guitarist shared his story on Metal Hammer and he replied to a lot of questions :

WHAT WAS YOUR DRUG OF CHOICE?
“Definitely methamphetamine. It was a love/hate type of thing because the beginning high was just through the roof, but then it ruined everything in my life; it ruined my mind, my emotions, my relationships, my sanity. But I liked the idea of resisting sleep and fighting the stuff that we need, like food! Ha ha ha!”

WHAT’S THE LONGEST YOU’VE STAYED AWAKE WHILE DOING METH?
“I think it was four or five days. I’ve heard people go weeks or more, but I never could make it like that because I’d just get tired. And paranoid, too. I thought there were people in my attic, looking down my vents, and I thought they were going to ambush me. People would come over and they would give me some crank and I’d just go back to my safe and give them a few hundred dollars from there, so they knew that I had money in my safe. I was like, ‘What am I doing here?’”

DO YOU REMEMBER YOUR FIRST HIGH?
“Yeah, I was about 20 years old and I was hanging out with this girl who was just beautiful. We were at a party and they brought out this biker crank – it was, like, red or pinkish – and she did it. I wanted to impress her, so I did it too. After I snorted it, I stood up and I felt like my head had stretched into a cone... like it was twirling around my head, this weird, tingly sensation. Then I had the worst night ever! I thought I’d go to bed at like five or something and I got up the next day on no sleep and I tried to just be normal but the roof of my mouth was raw and I couldn’t chew because it hurt. It was a horrible experience! I don’t know why I kept doing it a few months later.”

THERE WAS A PERIOD WHEN KORN WERE SPIRALLING FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND NOT ACTING TERRIBLY NICE TOWARDS EACH OTHER. DID THE FIGHTING EVER GET PHYSICAL?
“Just with Jonathan Davis. Jonathan was drinking at the time and that’s when it would happen – when he was drinking. When he’d drink Jäger, he would be on the prowl for us. He would be looking for us and we would be hiding in our bunks. He punched Munky in the face one time, and he’s not even a fighter! He’s a sweet guy but he was a drunk, so when he was drinking, he was just a different person. Then Munky used to charge certain people. He never did it to me. When he would get blackout drunk, I’d just stay away from him because he didn’t know who he was or what he was doing and he had zero memory the next day.”

WHAT WAS THE WORST INJURY YOU EVER SUSTAINED ONSTAGE?
“We were playing a festival in England and I was banging my head so hard that I smacked my guitar and blood started pouring out of a cut above my eyebrow. I still have a scar. I had a white guitar and there was blood all over it – it was awesome. The photographers started focusing on my thing and I was getting close to them, looking all creepy. It was sweat mixed with blood, so it looked even bloodier.”

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ARRESTED?
“No, the closest I got was when I was 14 years old with some friends and we ended up going to a cemetery and drinking beer. The cops came and they were going to arrest us, but they did worse: they took me home! My parents were asleep and they woke them up and told them what I did. Oh, man... There was another time when I got pulled over while driving drunk. The cop pulled me over and did an eye test on me and then he gave me my ID back and said, ‘Brian, you’re drunk, go home right now and don’t do this again.’ And I drove the three blocks home. It was crazy.”

Joey Jordison About Slipknot

Slipknot Are My Brothers

As you may know once Slipknot drummer has left the band with him stating that he was fired . Although later in 2016 he revealed in Metal Hammer magazine that  he had been diagnosed with a rare disease of the nervous system which left him unable to play drums. Now by speaking on the One On One with Mitch Lafon podcast he said that its alright (Video Down Below) :

" Without Slipknot, I would not necessarily be where I am today."

“And all those guys and everyone that I worked with, wrote with, all the producers, all the albums, all the tours, everything that we did – I can never in a million years compact it into an interview right now of the great things that we did together. I would not trade them for the world.

“Those guys are my brothers forever. I love them very much, and I wish them well."

Jordison is also playing in 2 band Vimic and Sinsaenum . He said about them in podcast :

"This is my passion, this is what I am doing. Right now I’m concentrating on Vimic – we’ll get to Sinsaenum later on in the year, probably around festival time. But I’ve got great shows coming up with Vimic. We cannot wait to hit the stage. We are stoked."

If Jordison himself feels not hurt feelings who are we to judge?

Mastodon Just Upload A New Song

What Happened To Them

The days are passing by and January just ended that means that we are coming closer to 31 March . What will happen then I hear you ask? New Mastodon album Emperor Of Sand of course . I love this band . It suprises me  everytime but in a good way . The band has just upload a new song with the name "Show Yourself" . The thing is that I never heard anything like this from the band . It sounds like the song is taken from another band . The song is very rock/sludge/psychedelic but in the good way I love the change they make and it seems like the new album is going to be legendary . Hear for your self .

Dio Hologram To Start Touring US

Its A Thing That Needs To Be Talked

You see what we have here is technology . We all love some artist that have unfortunately passed away . I too love some artist that have passed away by many reasons like Freddie Mercury , Dimebag Darrel and in this case one of the heavy metal music fathers Ronnie James Dio . Died on natural cause or not it doesn't really matter . Ronnie James Dio died in 2010 due to stomach cancer .and left a huge gap behind him . This is where technology comes to fill the gap with Dio and make him sing again not himself but his hologram . Hologram technology is spread across Japan where they make huge concerts with imaginary singers holograms and they love it . Dio hologram first appeared at last year’s Wacken Open Air festival and will now appear at the show in the States on February 2 at The Novo, Los Angeles. The thing is that when you resurrect a person that died people get really confused about what they see and they get a little annoyed with the fact that we should leave dead people alone . My opinion is that its alright as long as someone doesn't get andvantage of it like getting the money that should go to Dio family its ok . The truth is that I would give anything to see live some old rockstars that I admire but unfortunately have passed away like Laney Staley of Alice in Chains but the thing is that if every lately band starts to play live with holograms what will happen to new bands or whats the moral of this thing ? What will happen if Queen decide to revive Freddie Mercury and make a concert with his hologram . I don't know how people will feel but I sure know that if something like this happen sure the world would go and watch him even if its just his hologram .

Dio’s widow Wendy admitted seeing the hologram for the first time reduced her to tears and said the rock icon would have approved. But some, including Disturbed frontman David Draiman, weren’t keen on the idea.
He said:

It makes me sad. I'm always happy to hear any music from anybody that's left us, that we've lost. But the hologram thing almost isn't letting the dead be dead. It just seems weird.

"Is there a difference between a hologram and a guy dressing up like Ronnie James and doing it? Ronnie was Ronnie, and he was the best in the entire damn world.

"Whether you're doing it with somebody like Ronnie James Dio or Michael Jackson or whomever, respect the legacy. Personally, it kind of bothers me.”

Last year, Dio Disciples guitarist Craig Goldy insisted the hologram was as a way of giving the late icon back to his fans, adding:

“We can't wait to bring this experience to even more of his fans and perhaps even a newer generation when we bring this incredible live experience on the road next year.”

Devilskin A Band You Should Definitely Check Out

A Lovely Band From New Zealand

When we talk about new music everyone here knows what we are talking about and Devilskin is a good example of a band that produces good music .Its a hard rock band with perfect woman vocals and tastefull music.  (Videos of their work down below)

Devilskin is a four piece band from Hamilton New Zealand formed in June 2010, they already have guts, class, kudos and confidence. The sum total of a determined... and accomplished group of musicians who know what they want, the music is organic, dynamic and real.

The band features the spectacular Jennie Skulander on lead vocals. Her powerful and compelling voice and alluring stage presence sets her apart from any vocalist New Zealand has put up so far. With an unerring gift for melody, Jennie's incredible voice sweeps from whisper to roar, rips with power, drips with melody and captivates with sincerity.
Jennie previously fronted Rotorua band Slipping Tongue garnering a swathe of fans with their videos, EPs and album. Slipping Tongue also impressed many when they opened for Coheed & Cambria in 2008.

On lead guitar is Nail from popular Waikato band Chuganaut who won the NZ Battle of the Bands and the World Battle Of The Bands in 2004. Played BDO in 2005 and opened for Iron Maiden at Mt Smart stadium in 2009. Chuganaut has played numerous national tours and released several singles, EPs, videos and an album. Nail's searing guitar work and high energy performance bring real intensity to the live show.

Playing bass guitar is Paul Martin, known as the Axeman from arguably, New Zealand's most popular radio show, the Axe Attack. Lead guitarist and vocalist for World War Four, Paul’s previous bands include Knightshade and Blackjack. He has opened for Black Label Society (2006), Heaven & Hell (2007) and Motorhead twice (2008), and played BDO (2009). Paul’s powerful and aggressive bass style is a propulsive force in the bands sound.

Nic Martin joined Devilskin as drummer in August 2011 at the age of 15. Paul's son, Nic is

the youngest artist to ever play the BDO when he performed with World War Four in 2009 at the age of 13. Nic adds to the show with a real display of power and passion on the drums. With a fierce style all his own and the inexhaustible energy of youth, Nic's truculent style and showmanship are fast becoming a talking point on the NZ live music scene. Not to mention making Devilskin one of the few bands featuring a father and son in their line-up.

Together, Devilskin have the ability to write songs that have depth and passion. They create a compelling and irresistible sound and perform a stunning, explosive, live show.

Also the band have accomplished We're NZs #1 Hard Rock/Metal band, have a platinum selling ablum, two #1 seeling albums, have toured with Halestorm as support & opened for Disturbed, Slash, Motley Crue/Alice Cooper, Coheed & Cambria, Five Finger Death punch .

So you know that huge step for a band from New Zealand. If you live in Europe and more specifically in UK or Germany you can see them live.More info in the pictures . If you want to learn more about their discography or support them in some way you can check this link : http://devilskin.co.nz/

Judas Priest New Material 'Is Sounding Incredibly Exciting,' Says ROB HALFORD

New Judas Priest Album

New Judas Priest album is happening we don't know when or where or how it will happen but it doesn't really matter! We will have a new album and this is enough . Juda's last album was Redeemer of Souls and the first with the guitarist Richie Faulkner a young and talented musician . Redeemer of Souls was a masterpiece in my opinion the best album of the band so far. So now Rob Halford stated that there is new material that is sounding incredibly exciting . Furthermore he said on Ultimate Classic Rock in a new interview.

"I can't really say any more than that, because it's still very nebulous, but it is sounding incredibly exciting and I'm sure we'll talk about that when the time comes."

Not much here but the fact that there will be new material its good enough for me! Also Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner revealed that the band would start recording their 18th album in January – and hope to release it sometime in 2017. The band will release February 3rd the Turbo 30th anniversary edition read more here!
