Ray Brower is a metalcore band from Scotland that started their journey into the metal world in 2011 . Since then they accomplished metal hardcore bands with a poetic twist. Founded in 2011 to “Create our noise through the influences of our surroundings and the music we love.” the bands music reflects the passion of the times we live in. In March 2014, Ray Brower were hailed as joint winners of the Fat Hippy Battle of the Bands, which saw over 100 Scottish bands and solo acts enter and compete for the chance to be on one of Scotland’s most prolific independent labels. On the 1st of July this year Ray Brower released their debut download only single Not All Hope Is Lost to much acclaim from the metal community. It hit Number 1 in the iTunes UK Metal Single Chart and brought new fans from all over the world to the unique Ray Brower sound. Monday 27th October saw the release of their debut album, Speaking Truthfully. Thinking Brave. following an epic sold out launch gig at Aberdeen’s hottest new venue, Downstairs, on the Saturday night. The album went straight into Number 17 in the iTunes UK Metal album chart, surrounded by the bands hero’s and influences like Slipknot and metal legends like Sabbath and Maiden.

It has remained in the Top 200 since and has even earned its own iTunes quick link tile, showing how much attention this album and its entirely individual Scottish Metal sound is bringing! In March 2016 they entered the Deezer Open Hell Stage competition for a chance to play Hellfest 2016. Over 300 hundred metal bands from all over Europe entered, Ray Brower were 1 of 9 to get through and play at Hellfest. They then won again as metal fans at Hellfest voted for their favourite of the 9 new bands to play and Ray Brower became the Deezer Open Hell Stage 2016 winners! Which means they will play the mainstage at Hellfest 2017!!! This is absolutely massive for Ray Brower. They will be the first Scottish band ever to play the mainstage at Hellfest, it will take them to a new level in the metal scene.
