Ghost's Papa AKA Tobias Forge To Lawsuit

The Thing Is Getting Out Of Control

We all know the decision that Papa Emeritus aka Tobias Forge took months ago to fire all Ghost members cause their identity had been discovered . Later in some interviews Tobias stated that all ghouls are expendables . So the late band members decided to do a lawsuit on him . Now in a formal response to the lawsuit leveled against him from ex-bandmates claiming they've been screwed out of money, Emeritus reveals his not-so-secret identity, and explains that all Ghost activities are him and him only. This includes having trademarks registered in his name, performing instruments, writing the music, everything.
Tobias Forge has, more or less his whole life, acted as composer and author of lyrics as a singer, guitarist, drummer and bassist. As such, he has appeared in several famous rock bands such as Repugnant and Crashdiet, but also in Subvision, Magna Carta Cartel (where also one of the plaintiffs also played) and Superior. At the same time as Tobias Forge participated in various rock bands, he also created his music and wrote lyrics. Tobias Forge is the creator of the rock band GHOST. He alone founded and created GHOST, its image with anonymity and the special scene show as well as the first trademark associated with GHOST.
Tobias Forge is the main author of all GHOST musical works, with the exception of "Year Zero" and "Zenith" that was created on the initiative of Martin Persner. However, these two works have been revised, arranged and instrumented by Tobias Forge. The lyrics for "Year Zero" are written by Tobias Forge. Furthermore, Klas Åhlund has participated to some extent in the latest Meliora album (2015). All assignments of rights to works are registered at Svenska Tonsättares International Music Agency (STIM).
Tobias Forge has, in all cases, performed all vocal efforts on these recordings, with the exception of some choir singing performed by hired singers. With the exception of the Meliora (2015) album, the recording process has always started with Tobias Forge's first recording of demo versions. On these he has arranged all the works and also covered all the instruments, which includes the creation and arrangement of eg riff / licks, instrumental solo, drumming, choice of rhythm and tempo. With a few exceptions, Tobias Forge has thus solely taken responsibility for the entire arrangement of how the instruments are to be handled, regardless of whether it was ultimately someone else who has actually recorded the final version. In the event that another musician has performed the works at the recordings, they have been given directives that the instruments should be treated in exactly the same way that Tobias Forge has recorded them on the demo recordings. There has thus been no room for self-interpretation, except in some cases when Martin Persner performed small so-called "licks" on a couple of recordings. " Licks' means short repetitive tones that are often played by the guitarist in hard rock.
The lawsuit also furthers the assertation that Ghost is Forge's project and Forge's project alone.
Since the musicians (The Ghouls) are anonymous, Tobias Forge is free to change the musician at will. Since the musicians always should perform the works according to Tobias Forge's explicit instructions, they are not irreplaceable and are not considered crucial for the band.
I know calling Forge selfish and all that seems like the popular thing to do, but it really doesn't seem like that's the case. If this response is completely, 100% accurate (why wouldn't it be?), then everyone else who has ever been in Ghost has been a hired gun. Whether or not they've been paid their fair rates is a whole separate story, but the fact still stands that this is Forge's project.

Judas Priest Almost Done Recording New Album

The Time Has Come

I posted a lot of times about Judas Priest releasing a new album and its almost happening . The last band album was Redeemer Of Souls which was released 2014 and in my opinion is one of the best album that the band has ever released ! n a new Instagram post, Sneap wrote: "Just about done with PRIEST tracking. One of the most enjoyable records I've worked on in a long time, especially working alongside
JUDAS PRIEST singer Rob Halford recently told Planet Rock about the band's new disc: "It's just great to watch how a record comes together, from those early, early days where there was just me and [guitarists] Glenn [Tipton] and Richie [Faulkner] sitting in the studio with a couple of guitars and just, you know, doing what we do. You start the day with nothing, and then at the end of day, potentially, you've got a really great, classic PRIEST song that may live forever."
He continued: "So we're hard at it. We're still doing what we love to do. PRIEST is a working band more than anything else. It's that Midlands ethic, the work ethic of anybody that goes to work… I say it's work, 'cause it is work — you're working with your mind, you're being creative. And now we're moving through into other stages, we're preparing for another big world tour, getting stage designs sorted, lighting designs sorted. So this is the beginning of what's gonna be a very exciting 2018 period."

Avenged Sevenfold : We Are The Real Deal

I Agree

Zacky Vengeance has talked about the band are the real deal and what happened since The Stage Came Out !
Vengeance tells MusicRadar: “I remember playing the Underworld early on, then the Astoria, and getting the biggest backlash from all the London fans wanting to tear us down to see if we were the real deal.So we said, ‘Alright, we’re not coming back. We’re cancelling the tour, and starting from the ground up.’ We’ve shown everyone we are musicians first and foremost. We’ll produce our own albums and play the 100 Club.We earned people’s respect. We’re not the band on MTV, wearing a bunch of makeup. We’ve proved we’re the real deal.”“The album is progressive in nature, but in spirit it’s very punk rock – about not giving a fuck, doing what we want to do.Me and M Shadows always send each other books and articles to read, bouncing ideas. I gave him something about artificial intelligence, he sent me a book by Bill Nye called Undeniable: Evolution And The Science Of Creation, which really inspired me to pursue The Stage music video.Never giving up – that’s what I truly believe all the greatest bands have done.”

Soad Have 15 New Songs That Match or Beat Anything We Did in the Past

It Seems Promising

Drummer of the band John Dolmayan talked about SOAD not releasing music for so long, telling X107.5 (via Blabbermouth):  don't know why we aren't coming out with an album. It's very disheartening...
"It seems like we all get along, we all have a great time touring, we still are putting together really good music. I think that we can put out a fantastic album."
He also talked about the band's decrease in touring activity, saying:
"I know a lot of our American fans are saying, 'Why don't you guys tour the States more often?'"We talked about it about two years ago. We said, 'Look, we haven't made an album' - at that point it was a decade only that we hadn't made an album - only one short decade, 'cause we have so many left...[Laughs] And we talked about it and we said, 'Look, let's make our album first.'""We had every intention of going in the studio and working on an album. As far as the timeline, everybody had their own opinion of when that was gonna happen. For me, it was 10 years ago, and then there's varying degrees of that."If I had my way, we would have put out five albums in the last 12 years. And I think we're really doing a disservice to ourselves, because you only have a finite amount of time."If anything proves anything, Chris Cornell passing away unexpectedly proves that at any given moment [it could all be gone]. It does put things into perspective, and you realize how much time you're wasting and how precious that time is."
Dolmayan also said he feels "really good" about the new music the band's been working on, adding:

"To be honest with you, if I didn't feel that way, I wouldn't even wanna broach putting together an album, because we do very well touring on our catalog."And, quite frankly, there's a lot of bands I wish wouldn't be putting out albums, 'cause they haven't put out a good album in a long time."We've been in the studio for the past year and we've put together about 15 songs so far that I think match or beat anything we've done in the past... And I don't make those kind of claims without having something to back it up."We're better than we've ever been, we're tighter than we've ever been, we know what we're doing and the songs are there. It's a matter of getting-together and putting aside whatever differences, or whatever problems people have — which don't seen to surface when we're together, by the way. It's almost like there's two System of a Downs for me."
Asked whether there's one band member who's getting in the way of the new album, John replied:
"Nobody in particular. And the funny thing is we all get into the studio, everybody's getting along great, we have a blast on the road."In our band, the difficulty really isn't, 'Is one of us gonna fall off the wagon or get into a bad situation?'"It's really a matter of, 'Are we gonna come together and make something happen?' It's been about 12 years since we've put out an album..."

Its kind of depressing that a band like this doenst release a new album but maybe their time is over!

Linkin Park’s Bennington Attacks Fan Again

I Totally Agree With Him

Linkin Park as you may know have change their musical direction completely and have gone into a more pop-house path. That lead the band's fans to have a dilemma . Most of them are really mad about the band's decision cause they expect a new Hybrid Theory album . So Bennington strike again with a new interview that attacks to the fan that insist of wanted the band to stay in the same musical direction . And in a new interview with Kerrang Radio, Bennington has again reacted angrily to those who say their new music was made for financial gain.

Bennington says: “Either you like the song or you don’t and if you don’t like the song because you hear it and on a kneejerk reaction it’s like, ‘Oh it doesn’t have metal in it so I don’t like it,’ that’s fine.“But if you’re gonna be the person who says, ‘They made a marketing decision to make this kind of record to make money,’ you can fucking meet me outside and I will punch you in your fucking mouth because that is the wrong fucking answer.“Because guess what, calling us a sell out for that purpose is… selling out on your fucking excuse as to why you don’t like it. You’re a fucking pussy.”

He continues: “For any band to take musical risks because you like what you’re doing in spite of what you know some people will say they don’t like – it doesn’t matter if they like it or not. What matters is that you took the chance to do something that you felt was important to you and that’s what being an artist is all about.
“When we did Minutes To Midnight, this was a conversation we literally had, ‘This could end our career.’ We all had that honest conversation like, ‘I know we’re doing this because this is what we love and this is important to us. This could honestly be the worst decision we’ve ever made professionally. Creatively, probably the best thing, professionally, it might be the worst.’ We were like, ‘We’re good with that. We can live with that.’”He adds: “When you make it a personal attack against who we are as people, like dude, shut up. That means that I can actually have feelings about it and most of the time my feelings are I want to kill you.”

STONE SOUR's COREY TAYLOR : What Does Hydrograd Means

Not So Impressive Though

I wrote severall times about the new album that Stone Sour will release on June 30 via Roadrunner. In an interview bands frontman explained why he named the album hydrograd and what does it means in an interview in , Michigan radio station WRIF. (You can hear the whole interview down below)
He said : "I'm running through this airport in Eastern Europe. This was only a few years ago. No offense to the airport — it was kind of antiquated; they hadn't really upgraded anything. So the gate info was all on those old-school '80s block-letter, number, digital horrible Timex watch kind of readers. This would have been top of the line in Times Square in, like, 1968, let's put it that way. So not only is it impossible to read, it's also scrolling back and forth between Cyrillic and regular English letters. It's also scrolling back and forth between different languages. So my brain is trying to do geometry while also at a sprint, 'cause I don't wanna miss my plane. I pass one, and I look up and I could have swore it said 'Hydrograd.' And I kept running for a second, and I was, like, 'Hydrograd? Where the hell is Hydrograd? What?' So I stopped and I turned around and I went back to the gate, and I'm standing there and I'm watching it cycle through and cycle through and cycle through… Nothing. It didn't say 'Hydrograd.' It didn't even start with an 'H.' It wasn't even close. And I'm just sitting there wondering when my sanity split on me, trying to figure it out. And I walked away and I was just, like, 'Well, it's a cool name.' And I just kind of stuck it in my pocket. And then years later we were doing demos for [the new STONE SOUR album], and I actually named one of the songs I wrote 'Hydrograd'. And I was, like, 'You know what? That would be a good name for the album overall and just kind of run with it.' So that's it, really — it was what I saw but didn't really see."

Slipknot Released a 360° Live Video For The Shape

Technology is Growing Strong

Technology grows strong the last few years . Now everyone can buy a really descent gopro camera or other similar one and just make an awesome video . Everyone can have a drone and film from the sky . So what happens when this technology goes into the fields of music ? Magic happens! So something like this one happened in a Slipknot concert . Slipknot had placed a few 360 cameras and film the live version of their song "The Shape" (Video Down Below). The view is spectacular but the could have gonne better with the quality . Anyway its a really nice video. It was the first time Slipknot performed the track live and was part of a set which saw them play their second album in full for the first time.
And they’ve released the interactive video to celebrate surpassing one billion views on their YouTube channel.
Crahan tells Rolling Stone: “From the beginning, Slipknot's goal has always been world domination. That goal is still the same today.
“The video for The Shape, filmed at our festival Knotfest with our maggots, and over one billion views on our YouTube channel, proves it's happening. Like it or not."
But in March, Crahan checked in to say that the band were in the early stages of writing new material for what will be their sixth album.
He said: “Well, we're writing as a band and with Corey as well. Yes, we're off, and we're off for a long while. It's much needed as we'd been touring for three years.
“Corey's doing what he does which is Stone Sour which is awesome and we're writing. We're beginning to write some music for Slipknot for the new record. He's aware of it, so while we're writing, he's getting songs.”

Mastodon's Hinds Prospose To Girlfriend In Stage

The Last Remaining Single Mastodon Guy Get Married

We saw a lot of guys propose to their girlfriends in live concerts but only a few times well known musicians do it . So this time the crazy guy from Mastodon the last remaining single guy from Mastodon propose to his girlfriend which said yes at a Birmingham, Ala. show on April 28!

"Hey, you guys want to see the coolest encore ever in your whole life? Hey Raísa, come here,” said Brent, motioning for his soon-to-be fiancé to join him onstage. He then took the mic off the stand, knelt down and asked, “Will you marry me?” Raísa immediately said yes, planting a kiss on the guitarist and her future hubby.

It was a hometown show for Hinds, who grew up right outside of the area and his family was in attendance to see their son’s headlining set and engagement. “What just happened?” asked drummer Brann Dailor who took the center microphone after the proposal. He thanked the crowd, informing them that Hinds is a local, which was met with even more cheers from an already ecstatic audience.

We always love to see thing like this happening espacially from a lovely musician like Brent Hinds !Congratulations man and have a happy wedding !
